In the Central Jungle of Peru, adolescents from Oxapampa and Chanchamayo face risks that threaten their well-being and future. Poverty, lack of information, and limited access to health, education, and justice services increase the vulnerability of adolescents to early pregnancies and sexual violence.
To address this reality, with funding from the European Union and in collaboration with DescoCentro – Prime and Manos Unidas, we work with adolescents, teachers, and families to strengthen their autonomy and the exercise of their sexual and reproductive rights. Through in-person training sessions and the use of innovative digital tools, we promote access to reliable information and the development of skills for making informed decisions.
Our strategy combines educational workshops, continuous support, and the use of digital solutions such as IgualdApp and Con-Héctor IA, facilitating learning about sexual rights and gender equality. Additionally, we promote the sensitization of authorities and communities to transform norms and beliefs, fostering safe and inclusive environments for youth.
