Transforming Women

Generating Economic Solutions in the Community

Paraguay
2023 to 2025

About the Initiative

In the departments of Caazapá, Caaguazú, and Guairá, women entrepreneurs have developed their own strategies to manage their businesses and engage in community life. However, they face barriers to accessing formal financial services. With the technical and financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), we work alongside them to strengthen their leadership skills, businesses, and community projects, expanding their financial opportunities and enabling them to continue driving economic solutions that improve their communities and households.

To achieve this, three main areas are integrated:

  1. Community Participation: Spaces for dialogue and action are created where women actively engage in decisions that impact their communities. They form networks, foster leadership, develop community projects, and collaborate with key local stakeholders.
  1. Business Management: Entrepreneurship is strengthened through the development of business skills, supported by practical and digital tools tailored to enhance autonomy, improve financial planning, and boost sales.
  1. Financial Access: Access to formal and community financial services is facilitated through the promotion of savings groups and the creation of collaborative networks with financial institutions, always centered on the needs and contexts of women.
