Impulso Local supported the economic recovery of businesses in Bogotá affected by the COVID-19 crisis. In collaboration with the Mayor's Office of Bogotá, 17 local mayoralties, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the initiative designed strategies to strengthen productive units through two pathways: popular businesses and MSMEs.
We took on the challenge of strengthening the popular economy with a comprehensive approach that facilitated access to capital, improved business adaptability, and promoted financial inclusion. Through training and support, we boosted digitalization, economic empowerment, and the sustainability of businesses.
The strategy included the provision of financial incentives of COP 3,000,000 per entrepreneur to support business recovery, facilitating their reactivation. Additionally, it promoted financial education and banking inclusion, ensuring access to financial products and digital wallets that enabled efficient resource management. Through the Entrepreneurial Route, individuals strengthened their skills in business management, finance, digitalization, and marketing. Finally, connections with institutional offerings were fostered, providing access to programs and support networks that contributed to the growth and sustainability of the businesses.
