In Paraguay, internet access has grown in recent years, with a higher participation of women. According to the 2022 Permanent Household Survey, 77.6% of women had access to the internet, compared to 74.9% of men. However, the lack of training in digital tools limits their opportunities for personal, professional, and economic development.
To address this situation, Conectadas, a Corporate Social Responsibility program by Tigo Paraguay, promotes digital education for women through a training program that strengthens their technological skills and autonomy. The initiative offers training in digital tools, entrepreneurship, and leadership, fostering the creation of support networks and new economic opportunities.
Through partnerships with the public, private, and academic sectors, Conectadas creates accessible learning spaces and encourages women’s participation in the digital world.
