THE LISTA INITIATIVE RECEIVED A REWARD FOR INNOVATION FROM PROSPERIDAD SOCIAL

Yesterday, November 6th,together with USAID and Mercy Corps, Fundación Capital was awarded with a recognition for innovation from Prosperidad Social thanks to our LISTA Initiative and its success in the application of strategies to fight poverty.
This LISTA Initiative is in a process of growth thanks to the project “Scaling up Digital Solutions to Financial Inclusion”, which gathers lessons from our LISTA Initiative since 2012 and aims to make its impact grow by reaching more than 400,000 people through technology and social capital.

The development of this project will be made possible thanks to funding from Innovations Investment Alliance, a partnership between Skoll Foundation and USAID, with support from Mercy Corps. In Colombia we work jointly with Prosperidad Social to articulate the implementation of the LISTA Initiative and help it reach thousands of people in vulnerable situations, providing them with knowledge and financial capabilities.

Yesterday’s event, led by Prosperidad Social and called “Articulation for Prosperity: Exchanging Experiences and Good Practices in Joint Strategies for Overcoming Poverty”, recognized the work of eleven different initiatives of public-private articulation for their contribution to the fight against poverty in the country. The awarded interventions had a positive impact in the five dimensions of the Multidimensional Poverty Index: education, health, childhood and youth, household and work. In addition, 100 representatives from different allies of Prosperidad Social that attended the event were able to share experiences.

Recognitions like this fill us with pride and energy to continue working on the construction of a more fair and prosperous Colombia.
